How to Register for the Laconic Incentivized Testnet

If you need a quick refresher on who we are and what we do. We make it easy to deploy jurisdictionally diverse services by taking a simplified and straightforward approach to the data solutions required to run blockchain networks and apps—always putting the user first. This opportunity begins with service providers, who are the heart of our operation, acting as hosts to connect data between web3 app publishers and users.

This testnet is being run by Hypha Co-op, known for their work on the Cosmos Hub ICS testnet. Throughout this LORO testnet, you'll be hearing from Dante and Lexa - testnet coordinators.

This is an incentivized testnet with mainnet LNT rewards (pending successful KYC), based on task completion, either as a Validator/Service Provider or as an App Publisher. While it's technically possible to run just a validator node, being a service provider is how you'll earn the most points.

Here's what you need to know:

- The LORO testnet will last for three weeks (Aug 12 - 30) and tasks will be available for completion throughout the entire period.
- Each task - from running a validator node to deploying a webapp - will earn you a set amount of points. See here for the full list of LORO testnet tasks and rewards.
- Every Wednesday and Friday, testnet coordinators will tally task completion and publish the results in the repo.
- Testnet coordinators will be present in the Laconic Discord to answer questions and provide guidance. Access will be granted once registration closes

What's next?

1. Visit https://wallet.laconic.com and create a wallet. Save the mnemonic!

2. Register for the testnet at https://loro-signup.laconic.com and follow the registration steps provided in the follow-up email. Registration closes at 7:00 UTC on August 14.
